The position combines market analytics and data science, with tasks as various as: Work with Senior Energy Analysts to guarantee the quality and on-time delivery of datasets to customers. Data preparation process to identify underlying issues and take measures to fix them. Improving the quality of datasets by investigating recent trends in the industry and comparing them to company’s data outputs. Explore new data sources (satellite, public datasets or alternative datasets) which could feed Kayrros technologies. Investigate energy markets context to help data scientists build new product features. Write content pieces that would be shared with customers.

The research was conducted by the research group of Prof. Shazim Ali Memon to estimate the energy efficiency of PCM-integrated buildings and calculate potential CO2 emission reduction in the future. For prediction, a time forecasting model was made using Gene-Expression Programming. • Developed a time series forecasting model using Gene-Expression Programming to estimate future CO2 emissions from various energy sources. • Conducted numerical simulations using EnergyPlus to evaluate the impact of Phase Change Materials (PCMs) on energy consumption across 13 global climate zones. • Published as the first author in a Q1 journal and presented at the CISBAT conference by EPFL, Switzerland.
